Portfolio cover design

Its me again but more colourful! This design was my idea for a portfolio front page if I was to print it out. I took the image of me that I had retouched and duplicated the layer. I then went into channels and using the RGB channel created a selection and added it to a new alpha. I then added the alpha to a new layer in layers and picked the pink/purple colour and added it to the alpha. I used a mask to blend it into the original image in different patches. I then used a colourful texture image which I overlaid onto the image. When masking it on I used a textured brush to give the washed out look. I duplicated the 'alpha' layer a few times to enhance those parts. I then added a rectangle using overlay blending mode, bevel and emboss layer styles and then added the text
