the footballer is a stock image I have used from FavPNG. I wanted to capture the energy in the image and I feel I achieved this. I brightened up the image to start with. I then added a solid layer and added a clouds effect. I then added a difference cloud effect and inverted the layer. I then used levels to get rid of the black and was left with the lighting. I took the lightening using the lasso tool that I liked the most and pasted onto a different layer and hid the cloud layer. I placed them in the positions that I wanted and duplicated if needed. I then added colour using outer glow layer style and blended in using screen. for the background I created a solid blue layer the same colour as the blue in the shirt and then used a overlay of ink colours using multiply blending.
